Journalists from the developed world seem to have missed the point that Libra is designed more for EM markets than the traditional ‘west’. Coverage has focused on the potential for data concerns and regulatory problems – e.g. money laundering. We continue to believe that the problems raised so far are surmountable. Remittances are an obvious place to start offering services – they are big and expensive.
