EU Elections – Implications

The EU Parliamentary elections largely stuck to the expected script – non-establishment parties gained substantial ground while the establishment groupings saw their support fragment. The increase in turnout to above 50% will be seen as a vote of confidence in the status quo. This election increased complexity in decision-making at the Brussels level, which is potentially both good and bad for business.
